Where should you take a Thaï cooking class in Ko Samui?

Where should you do a cooking class in Koh Samui?

When I was living in Thailand, I wanted to experience a Thai cooking class (and since the beginning of the school year, I never had a chance to do it!!!). I went to Ko Samui, and I jump on this occasion to finally do a cooking class. It is how I met Mimie and her mum and dad via Airbnb (the first experience with them, and I had only tried to find a place to sleep when I traveled ).

Here is the link if you want to do a cooking class with her and her mum:

Mimie arrived in the morning (with her awesome high truck!!! lol) to pick me up in my hotel, and we went to a local market to find all the ingredients to do our recipes: coconut soup, green curry, and Pad Thai. The local market was near the beach, and every morning, the fisherman bring their catch from the night, so it is super fresh!!! We went after that to their beautiful place where they grow their vegetables and fruits (I loved the way they hang up the passion fruits and their salads ).

Mimie’s mum knew a few words in French, and it was great working with her too!!!! She is very patient, and I understand why people are coming to do this cooking class, by the way, they have a Facebook page

I think that they offer you the best in Thailand!!!! So if you want a cooking class, don’t go any further, book with them.

This morning was just excellent, I learned these Thai dishes and they are quite easy to do it again (you have to change a few things because there is no way I could find everything in Canada, but I’m flexible!!!). I had a chance to try all these three dishes, and it was so good!!!! I even had the leftovers for the diner, and I got a cute apron (it was so kind of them to gave me that!)

Then Mimie drove me to this place, the Wat Plai Laem. It is a Buddhist temple that is very modern. The central statue is Guanyin, the goddess of compassion and mercy. The statue is in Chinese style, with 18 arms, and is on a platform pavilion surrounded by the temple lake.

Thank you again, Mimie, and I wish you all the very best and especially right now, during what is happening in the world. Take care.
