How to get there?
From Deer Lake Airport – Trans Canada Highway
West to Route 430, then onto Route 431. Forty-five miles from Deer Lake to Woody Point, NL, Canada.
From Marine Atlantic – Follow the Trans Canada Highway East to Deer Lake, take Route 430 to Viking Trail, then turn onto Route 431 at Wiltondale, and this will bring you into Woody Point, NL, Canada. Approx drive time is 3 1/2 hours.
From the Northern Peninsula at Wiltondale, turn right to Hwy 431 to Woody Point.
What about Woody Point?
Woody Point is a beautiful historic town in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Town of Woody Point encompasses Curzon Village, Woody Point, and Winterhouse Brook. It has a total population of 281 residents.
The Town of Woody Point hosts numerous events throughout the year.
We went to the town quite late during the day, so it was closed. But this little town is charming and really quaint. It’s a perfect place to enjoy having Gros Morne National Park around us!!!
