We went to Ko Nang Yuan, and it was the only day we have rain during the day, which was a good thing because the colors of this island were terrific!!! We arrived there before the crowd, and we had this fantastic view without all the people, it was beautiful. We read that on the island you couldn’t put your towel on the beach because of the thousands of tourists, the sand goes away, and this is a risk of flooding for the island (but to be realistic I think in less than ten years, it will be impossible to walk between the three islands). When you arrive on the islands, they ask you not to bring any plastics (which is a good idea), but when you are walking around, you can see that the sea is just bringing some more and more garbage and nobody is taking care of that. It is again one of my significant concerns in places like that. They allowed this massive tourism where people don’t care about the environment. They should say that every day only a few people are coming (but we are totally in a consumerisme society and if they want to survive they have to do this way, but they are other ways!!!).
We loved the island, and even with the rain, it was great and interesting to see how foreign people are acting (no comments again, humans can be just horrible with just no consideration for other people, which is very sad). The colors changing just before the rain were exceptional!
A beautiful place but come before the crowd (just before 10 am) and leave after the crowd (the park is closing at 5pm…)
Fogo Island
One of the places I wanted to stop in Newfoundland was Fogo Island. I learned a lot about it before, and I just wanted to
