The Chinabowls in Cumberland

As I just got to Vancouver Island, I’m planning to enjoy everything, and so I spend a lot of time doing some research and seeing the must do here! I found an article speaking about the Chinabowls in Cumberland (which is not far from us!).
The explanation was not very clear, so we did go there and make a try!

How to go there?

So for the one who loved to look on a Map (or google map), you can park on the parking just at the junction of Dunsmuir Av and the 6th Av. The parking is small. So a lot of people ended up to park on the 6th Av or Keswick Av.
Here is an address to put on your GPS:
Village Park
2815 Dunsmuir Av
Cumberland, BC

Where is the entrance?

The entrance is at the corner of the 6th Av and Keswick Av. You will see a gate, and you have to get through it.

After a few feet, you will see the beginning of trails (and a lot are for the bikes. I’m wondering what it is in winter? Do they have snow? )

How to get to the Chinabowls?

Once you are in front of the map, the road is on the right.
You have to get on the right top of the hill and continue on the main road all the time. Don’t try to get out of this main road, or you wouldn’t be able to make it!
You have to walk until a bridge, and once you are just before or after the bridge, the Chinabowls are on your right.
To get there, you have to climb, and this is what makes this part so funny!!!

What can you see?

The first time I saw a picture of the Chinabowls, I expected the place to big huge! And it’s not! But the place is unreal! The water and all the elements washed the rocks, so it’s slippery! The colors of the rocks are totally unrealistic, and when you take some pictures, it is magical!

What did we think about this place?

The hike was an easy one, but we didn’t really like it so much that it was on the main road, so we met many bikes (who were really nice!). But the place itself is wonderful! It is worth it!!! Enjoy your time there, and don’t forget your camera!!!
