Today was a long day, as we didn’t find any attractions and charm in Thunder Bay. I was expecting a boardwalk near the Superior Lake, but nothing. The town is very much industrialized, and it doesn’t allow so much space for beauty. Or perhaps, we didn’t find the place to go to discover the beauty of it. So, we decided to explore the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park even for a bit, and it is beautiful. We drove a little bit before understanding where to pay the fee. We drove across a little community Silver Islet like very slowly, and it was so fun to see all the people walking looking at us, but they seemed very friendly towards us. We didn’t have any maps, so we were so happy when we find our way to pay the fees. The price was $ 15. 50 for the car, which is valid for the whole day. As we didn’t have so much time, we followed the advice from the woman who sells us the permit! And she had great advice. We went to the Sea Lion’s view where you can see this arch, who was supposed to look like a lion at the beginning, but with the erosion, it’s not very clear. This arch is probably going to get down one day.
Then we went to this impressive Thunder Bay lookout, and after 9 km by car (a not so rough road), the view is spectacular, and even the access to the lookout can be scary! We decided to stop for lunch near a cute lake where nobody was (only a yellow and black snake laying by the sun ), and as usual, I jumped into the water!!!
If you want to know more about this provincial park, go and look at these trails:

The provincial park is named Sleeping Giant because if you look at the park from above, you have the impression it’s a giant who is sleeping (quite funny!!!)
After our long trip (I think we drove almost 700km/ 435 miles), we arrived in Kenora in our Airbnb, and I jumped in the water (again, I know, but after a long trip, this is the best way to relax). Tomorrow, we will probably stop to see more about Kenora’s town after passing through Manitoba as we are not allowed to stay there because of the COVID 19, or we should do a 14 days quarantine as we are coming from outside the province). The next article will be in Saskatchewan.
Fogo Island
One of the places I wanted to stop in Newfoundland was Fogo Island. I learned a lot about it before, and I just wanted to
