Here is another great Park on Vancouver Island we did visit, and we loved it.

What about Nymph Falls Nature Park?
Nymph Falls Nature Park features 61 ha (151 acres) of second-growth forest located on the north side of the Puntledge River. The river is one of the main attractions of the park, along with Nymph and Nib Falls. The river and falls rage over a series of exposed bedrock ledges from fall to spring, to the delight of water enthusiasts. The glacial water runs calm, clear, and cool in the summer, making the park and nearby Barbers Hole popular spots for a refreshing dip.
The spectacular Nib Falls cascade over fish ladders blasted out in 1977 to assist spawning salmon swimming upstream. Watch fish leap their way up the falls in October. A wheelchair-friendly viewing area at the end of accessible trails offers a great viewpoint. Steps to the river located just 40 meters downstream of the falls provide access to the rock outcrops and pools of clear water. The falls are a leisurely 0.5 km stroll from the parking lot along a wide and gentle accessible trail.
For your info, bears and cougars pass through the forest regularly. So, always keep children and pets at sight. Animals are more active at night. Use trails after dawn and before dusk. Make noise to avoid surprising wildlife and triggering an attack. Wildlife that ignores you looks calm, or appears friendly may attack without warning. So, think to have with you some whistle to scare them if you need it .
Enjoy the trails there; you are lucky, for once, the longest one is 6 km, and the smallest one is 1.1 km!
