Le Lac aux Atocas

As I live near Mont Tremblant National Park, it is so easy to go there for an hour or two or even less.

Last week, I wanted to try an easy walk as it was the day of my birthday and I wanted to enjoy some nature and to take time to do some photography. So, I decided on the hike Lac aux Atocas.

Where is the Lac aux Atocas located?

It is, of course, located inside Mont Tremblant National Park.
You will have to pay the fees for the day (but be aware that if you don’t have any annual passes, you will have to buy your entrance online to be sure you are allowed to enter-COVID ).
Once there, it is straightforward; you have to follow the road to the Lac Monroe Centre de Services and keep your eyes open. The entrance will be on the right (not so far away from the Centre de Services). You will have to park, and here you go.

What can you expect on this trail?

This trail is considered an easy one. The length is about 1.5 km, and the sign says you can do it in an hour. However, I did it in less than 30 minutes, even if I took a lot of pictures.
You will walk around two Lakes: the Lac aux Chats ( I did put my toes in the water and trust me or not, it was not so cold!) and then the Lac aux Atocas. The nature here is pretty impressive, and you can hear or see wildlife: birds and deers. During the Fall season, you can enjoy all the colors in the trees, and it is a beauty!

When is the best time to go there?

As in Quebec, the seasons are well marked; you can enjoy this trail every season. But I love the Fall and the Wintertime, so it is up to your choice! Enjoy!!!
