In June last year, I went for my last time to Bangkok (as the school year is almost finished…and I was ready at this point to start a new adventure). I went to Bangkok Art& Cultural Center (and I wanted to go there for a long time..), it is located just near this huge mall (the Siam Center), and the entrance is free and I love the architecture!!!! (so nice for the photos!!!).
What is the mission of BACC?
-To act as a public space promoting both local and international arts and culture to the general public
-To support creative processes to nurture new ideas and knowledge
-To inspire imagination and promote arts and culture to the general public to drive Bangkok towards a well-balanced society
-To improve local arts and cultural management standards to be up to international standards
-To facilitate and create an environment enabling arts and cultural involvement from all sectors
What can you discover inside the BACC?
Inside, you have a few floors with exhibitions (painting, sculpture, a Thesis architecture exhibition made by the students, and I loved all their houses with mix modernity and thaï houses…). And you can even see local artisans who were drawing (and they were very good).
They have some education programs, some cinema programs, some music programs and some performance too.
Why did I go there?
I love photography and it’s the place to go and to take a lot of this incredible architecture. Enjoy!
