After a direct 6 hours flight from Bangkok, and once I had to manage how to get into downtown (which is not so bad once you got where the English name are, or you have to become fluent in Japanese writing!!!…), I finally join some of my family near Takeshita Street. This street is the craziest one in Tokyo. You have there a lot of crazy shops: you can buy the same outfit and the same high heels as Lady Gaga if you want to. You can purchase colorful candy cotton, or silly hats, or even visiting a place where owls are presenting (why are they in this kind of “home” instead of being outside?).
I had for lunch Udon noodles, who are like big spaghetti in a kind of soup (a huge bowl ). Then we walked into Shibuya. We saw this sculpture from this dog Hachiko who followed this professor every day to the university. One day, this professor died, and this dog continues to walk the same path as he did before (quite a sad story, and it was played in a movie with Richard Gere: Hachi: A dog’s tale). Then we walked into the street where you can crosses from everywhere ( I came back later to get in the Starbucks to see the view from a different angle, and it is crazy!!!!)
Then I went to Tokyo Metropolitan Shiba Park. The Shiba Toshogu Shrine is cute, and behind it, you can see the Tokyo Tower (it is like the Eiffel tower ). Walking around, I discover these care guardian deities of children. They are dedicated to the safety growth of children and grandchildren. They are here as well as for the memorial service for stillbirth or miscarried children. To protect and keep warm the heads of the guardian deity of children’s image, they have a red hat, red apron, and windmill were dedicated to the guardian deity of children’s pictures.
I loved this day, and I discovered the kindness of the Japanese (and how they want to help you especially when you have to buy a ticket and when the machine are all in Japanese)
